Why You Will Love This Recipe

  • Simple To Make: It is easy to prepare with just a few ingredients and a small effort, making it easier for you, even if you are a beginner. Do not worry about the ingredients; you only need three and can find them in your kitchen.
  • Portable: One of my favorite things about those bars is their convenience. You can take them with you anywhere you go and even pack them in your kids’ lunchboxes as snacks.
  • Perfect for Sharing: This chocolate peanut bar is excellent for sharing with family and friends during gatherings, especially on holidays, or as a homemade gift.

What Is A Peanut Chocolate Bar?

This peanut chocolate bar is a sweet treat that combines chocolate with peanuts. It is a candy bar with whole or chopped peanuts. I have made this recipe from leftover chocolate nut clusters. The difference is their form and shape since the nut clusters are formed like mini cookies, but their taste is the same if you use similar ingredients.

Is It Sugar-Free?

Yes, our bars are sugar-free since the ingredients used do not contain any sugar or carbs. Just like my dark chocolate almonds recipe, I used homemade dark chocolate for this recipe. If you do not have a homemade one, you can find sugar-free ones at the grocery stores. Just check the label before buying.

Toppings For Peanut Chocolate Bar

Here are a few suggestions, in case you would like to go further and add extra flavors:

  • Crushed peanuts: If you have extra peanuts, crush them to bits and sprinkle them all over the top of this chocolate peanut bar.
  • Sea Salt: A little sea salt can help enhance the flavor, so if you want to pair it with something savory, this is the one.
  • Homemade Sprinkles: These homemade sprinkles will make your peanut chocolate bar colorful. They have a coconut flavor that pairs well with chocolate and peanuts.
  • Dried Fruit: Dried fruits like dehydrated cranberries are perfect for this sweet treat for an extra fruity and tangy taste.
  • Cranberry Powder: If you want an extra pop of color and flavor for your peanut bar, try sprinkling some cranberry powder

Chocolates To Use

You can use any chocolate you want as long as it is sugar-free and within your diet or preference. You can try:

  • Dark chocolate – has a rich and intense flavor with less sweetness.
  • Milk Chocolate – the same as dark chocolate but sweeter and creamier.
  • White Chocolate – has a smooth, buttery flavor with a hint of vanilla.

How To Make Chocolate Peanut Bars Recipe

Making this chocolate peanut bar is easy. It’s quick and perfect for sudden cravings. Follow the step-by-step instructions to make your own peanut chocolate bar at home.

Kitchen Gadgets:

  • Instant Pot: Perfect to use instead of a double boiler.
  •  Glass Bowl: Use a bowl that fits your Instant Pot to melt the chocolate.
  • Spoon: This is important for transferring the chocolate-coated peanuts into the mold.
  • Bread Loaf Silicone: If you do not have a chocolate bar mold, use a bread loaf mold instead.

Ingredients:

  • Fresh Peanuts: Look for fresh, unsalted peanuts for the best flavor and texture. You can buy the peeled ones or peel the fresh ones at home.
  • Chocolate: A sugar-free dark chocolate is what you need for this recipe. You can make one at home or find one in the grocery store.
  • Coconut Oil: A little coconut oil will help make the chocolate smoother once melted.

First Step: Prepare Ingredients

Prepare all the ingredients. Peel the peanuts and set aside.

Chop your chocolate bar into small pieces so they melt more quickly. Chocolate chips are a great option as well and melt even easier.

Second Step: Melt The Chocolate

Switch the instant pot on saute and add hot water. While it simmers, place the glass bowl on top and start melting the chocolate and coconut oil together. To melt quickly, stir with a stick or a spoon until smooth.

Steps to melt chocolate: 1) Water in a pot. 2) Chocolate pieces added to a bowl above the pot. 3) Coconut oil added to the chocolate. 4) Melted chocolate stirred with a wooden stick.

Third Step: Coat Peanuts

Pour the peanuts into the melted chocolate and coat them evenly. Stirring it with a rubber spatula helps ensure each one is fully coated.

Fourth Step: Form The Chocolate Bar

Once the peanuts are coated, it is time to transfer them to the loaf mold. You can use a spoon, or you can also just pour the mixture all over the baking loaf mold.

Clean the sides of the mold using a rubber spatula to ensure you get the perfect chocolate peanut bar once chilled.

TRICKS AND TIPS:

  • Chocolate: You are free to use any chocolate you prefer. Milk, semi-sweet, and white chocolate are also perfect for this recipe.
  • Chocolate bar mold: In my case, I am using a bread loaf silicone mold because it is only available, but you can use an actual chocolate bar mold or the baking sheet pan method to form the bar.
  • Sea salt: sprinkle a little sea salt on your bar before chilling them for an extra flavor.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Substitute with Dark Vegan Chocolate

If you do not have sugar-free chocolate, consider using dairy-free, semi-sweet chocolate since it does not have dairy. It tastes like dark chocolate, but it is sweeter. Make sure to read the label on the package to make sure it’s suitable for vegans.

What to Serve With Chocolate Peanut Bar?

Serve with cucumber chips and baked radish chips for various snacks on one platter. This sweet treat is also perfect for serving with pastries like pretzels and protein bread for an afternoon snack with coffee or fruit juice or herbal drinks like a lavender mocktail.

This chocolate peanut bar is also perfect for gift-giving. Besides serving it with other snacks and sweets, having these chocolate bars in a box is a great idea for giving to your family and friends.

Can I Use Other Nuts?

If you do not have peanuts at home, you can make this recipe with other nuts. Try almonds for a crunchy substitute with a little sweet flavor. For a different nutty flavor, try pecans, cashews, or hazelnuts. If you use sweeter chocolate, try walnuts since they taste slightly bitter.

How Do I Store Peanuts Bar?

To store your chocolate peanut bar, place it in an airtight container. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. If the weather is warm, store it in the refrigerator to prevent the chocolate from melting.
