Serve with dried fruits like dehydrated cranberries, or top them on your cheesecake for a nutty dessert addition. You can also pair it with fruit juice during your snack time and butterscotch bars on the side. I have tried it, and they are unexpectedly good together.

Why You Will Love This Great Recipe

  • Perfect Balance – the combination of the peanuts and the natural sweetness of chocolate creates an ideal match in one dessert and snack. This is the perfect recipe if you crave sweets and crunch simultaneously.
  • Quick and Easy – A quick and easy recipe is a lifesaver, especially when busy. You can make it in minutes, and are for sure better than store-bought ones.

Dark Chocolate For Coating Peanuts

Dark chocolate is excellent for coating peanuts because it has a rich chocolate taste that complements the saltiness of the peanuts. It is also not too sweet, unlike milk chocolate and white chocolate.

Of course, you cannot go wrong with any choice of chocolate. Every single one of us has a different taste preference, and sweetness level comes into play as well.

How To Make Homemade Chocolate Peanuts Recipe

You are in the right place if you want a quick and easy recipe for a sweet snack. Let’s dive into making this chocolate peanut recipe using only three ingredients. I have also prepared a video for you, but if you want all the details, continue scrolling.

Kitchen Gadgets:

  • Instant Pot: Use it as a fast and efficient way to melt and smooth the chocolate.
  • Glass Bowl: A heatproof glass bowl is the perfect container for melting chocolate. It ensures that the chocolate melts smoothly.
  • Stick or Spoon: They are essential stirring tools, and you can also use them to dip the peanuts into the chocolate.
  • Long Tweezers: Use them to dip each peanut into the chocolate.

Ingredients:

  • Peanuts: These are the main ingredients for this recipe. Make sure they are fresh and without added flavors.
  • Sugar-Free Chocolate: You can use a bar of homemade chocolate without extra sugar or look for chocolate chips or bars labeled “sugar-free” to keep things clean and healthy. Use dark chocolate for this recipe.
  • Coconut Oil: Is essential for achieving a smooth and shiny melted chocolate texture.

FULL INSTRUCTIONS WITH STEPS FOR CHOCOLATE PEANUTS RECIPE

First Step: Prepare The Ingredients

Prepare all your ingredients first.

Make sure to pick the best quality chocolate you can find. Both milk and dark chocolate are great. I am using dark chocolate for this recipe. If a dark chocolate bar is thick, it takes time to melt, so breaking it into small pieces for easy melting helps.

You can use unsalted peanuts just like mine, but you can also explore and try roasted peanuts, salted peanuts, soaked almonds, or walnuts.

Second Step: Melt The Chocolate

Add boiling water to your instant pot, switch to saute and add a glass bowl. Add your chocolate and coconut oil, and let them melt on low heat. Use a stick to stir until the chocolate is completely melted, combined with coconut oil and smooth. This is an easy trick that I always do when melting chocolate.

Once the chocolate is melted and smooth, switch the heat off and set the melted chocolate aside at room temperature.

Third Step: Dip The Peanuts

Transfer the peanuts to the bowl of the melted chocolate and stir them in using a spoon or a baking spatula. Mix them properly with the chocolate to coat each peanut evenly.

Another way of coating them is to pour the mixture onto the peanuts and continue for another batch until all are evenly coated.

Fourth Step: Chill

Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper and transfer the chocolate peanuts to it. Use long tweezers to remove each peanut from the melted chocolate and layer, leaving space between them so they will not stick together.

Chill in the refrigerator until the chocolate is completely set and hardened.

Fifth Step: Store And Enjoy

Once they look like this, they are suitable for eating and storage. Take them off the sheet individually and put them in a storage glass or container.

Optionally, add a sprinkle of sea salt for an additional taste.

TRICKS AND TIPS:

  • Melting the chocolate – If an instant pot is unavailable, you can melt your chocolate using a double boiler or microwave.
  • Drying – dry the peanuts before dipping them into the chocolate. You can pat dry them with a paper towel.
  • Chocolate – you can use a variety of chocolate for this recipe. Even milk chocolate, white chocolate or dark chocolate chips are okay.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Substitute for Dark Chocolate

If dark chocolate is unavailable at home, try using chocolate or milk chocolate chips instead. You can also use any sweet chocolate if it is sugar-free, or try semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Are Chocolate Peanuts And Chocolate Peanut Clusters Different?

Yes, chocolate-covered peanuts and chocolate peanut clusters are different. Chocolate peanuts are individual peanuts coated in chocolate, often separated from one another. You enjoy them as small pieces of chocolate nuts.

A homemade chocolate peanut cluster recipe is a whole different treat. Nut clusters are made by grouping multiple peanuts and coating them with chocolate using a cookie scoop or spoon. The peanuts are stuck together with chocolate, creating a cluster or clump of chocolate-covered peanuts.

Can I Use Chocolate Peanuts For Making Peanut Butter?

Using chocolate peanuts to make peanut butter may only achieve your desired result if you want chocolate peanut butter. Chocolate peanuts already have a coating of chocolate, and the added sugar and cocoa from the chocolate can change the texture and taste of the peanut butter.

How Do I Store Chocolate-Coated Peanuts?

Store chocolate peanuts in a cool, dry place to prevent melting and maintain freshness. You can also use an airtight container or resealable bag to keep them away from air and moisture.

If the chocolate is warm, refrigerate it to prevent it from becoming too soft. Enjoy it within a few weeks for the best taste and texture.

Can I Freeze Chocolate Peanuts?

Yes, you can freeze chocolate peanuts, as freezing them can help preserve their freshness and prevent the chocolate from melting or becoming too soft, especially in warmer temperatures.
