Ingredients

  • ½ Cup Fresh Spinach chopped
  • ¾ Cup Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 4 Pieces Eggs
  • ¼ Cup Heavy Cream
  • ½ Pound Ground Sausage
  • Pinch Salt
  • Pinch Pepper
  • Butter or Oil for greasing

Instructions

  • Gather all ingredients, preheat your oven to 375°Fahrenheit (190°Celsius), and lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  • Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly, stirring occasionally, then drain off excess grease.
  • Spread the cooked sausage evenly across the bottom of the greased baking dish and sprinkle the chopped spinach over top.
  • Whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper until smooth, pour over the sausage and spinach, then bake for 25–30 minutes until the eggs are set and cheese is melted and golden.

Notes

  • Use Fresh Ingredients: Always use fresh eggs and high-quality sausage for the best flavor. Fresh ingredients make the bake more fluffy and flavorful.
  • Pre-Cook the Sausage: Cook the sausage before adding it to the bake to avoid extra grease and ensure it’s fully cooked. This also helps the flavors blend nicely with the eggs.
  • Layer Thoughtfully: Layer vegetables, cheese, and sausage evenly throughout the dish. This ensures each bite has a balanced mix of flavors.
  • Bake at the Right Temperature: Preheat your oven and bake at a moderate temperature to avoid overcooking. This keeps the eggs tender and prevents the edges from drying out.
